Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

FCBEscola, together with Qingdao Huanghai Pharmaceutical Company, has franchised a youth soccer school in Qingdao, Shandong Province, it was announced at a news conference held in Beijing yesterday. FCBEscola is a football academy that follows the FC Barcelona model aimed at boys and girls aged 6 to 11 years. This co-operation is an international expansion of FCBEscola.
The conference was attended by Òscar Grau, FCBEscola’s Director, Joaquín de Arístegui, the Spanish Ambassador to China, Wang Zekai, the President of Qingdao Huanghai Pharmaceutical as well as local officers, executives of sports companies and Huang Xiaoming, a famous Chinese actor.
Early in October this year, the two sides agreed to start the FCBEscola Qingdao Huanghai, a project aimed at promoting the Barça training model in Qingdao, one of the five cities chosen for the pilot project in China. They also set up a fund for the advancement of youth soccer training in China. Huang Xiaoming donated RMB one million to fund the bringing in top-class foreign coaches and to send Chinese soccer personnel to study overseas.
