The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) has renewed its title sponsorship deals with major golf events which include a World Golf Championship alongside a Women’s Championship and the European Tour in Abu Dhabi, announced in Shanghai Tuesday.
Under the agreements, HSBC will continue to act as the title sponsor of HSBC Champions held in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship for five more years, as well as the Women’s Championship in Singapore for another three years.
HSBC has extended all its golf sponsorship deals, including the renewal with The Open Championship earlier this summer, in the year of 2015 when the bank is celebrating its 150’s anniversary.
Financial terms, however, of the renewed deals were not revealed.
HSBC plays an important role in golf sponsorship and has hosted a series of youth golf events and grassroots events to develop the sport.
