Mitsubishi sponsors Orient Masters

On May 18th, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) signed a strategic cooperation with Orient Golf, which will see Mitsubishi become the title sponsor of the 2018 China LPGA-Xiamen Orient Masters and the designated air conditioning partner of China LPGA for the year 2018.

MHI Residential Air-conditioners (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi in China, will also sign a strategic cooperation deal with Orient Golf.

The MHI Shanghai company has been an active player in sports marketing since it became the sponsor of Chinese female golfer Ye Liying. Later in 2015 and 2016, the company also sponsored two other Chinese female golfers, Yan Jing and Li Jiayun respectively. MHI Shanghai is also the title sponsor of the Shanghai Junior Golf Tour.

Speaking on the cooperation, Luo Xiaomin, Managing Director of MHI Shanghai, said, “MIH Air-conditioners have been involved in the cause of promoting golf for many years. We also adhere to preciseness, enhancement and the strict standards required on the golf course during our development and research projects.”

The 2018 Orient Masters will be held from October 11 to 13 at Orient Golf Club in Xiamen.
