Premier League side Manchester City has struck a new partnership deal with Hong Kong-based EZ Shopnet to increase brand engagement across Asia.
Under the deal, EZ Shopnet will be the Club’s new online retail partner for Asia Pacific. The online retailer will run five City online stores in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and South East Aisa and sell club merchandise in local currencies and languages.
Omar Berrada, Group Commercial Director for City Football Marketing, which brokers Manchester City’s commercial partnerships and manages all of its retail and licensing, was quoted by Mumbrella as saying:” We are very pleased that through EZ Shopnet, we can now get even closer to our growing fan base across Asia Pacific and deliver them a better and quicker service. We have seen an enormous growth in our followers in the region and we are extremely happy that they will have easier access to official City kits and our wide range of merchandise than ever before.”
Mr Perhson Wong, Owner of EZ Shopnet, added:“We are delighted to have been chosen as the Asia Pacific Online Retail Partner to Manchester City Football Club. We look forward to working closely with the Club as it continues to grow in the coming years.”
