China’s Quanjian Group finalized a sponsorship deal with Tian Jin Women’s Volleyball Team on Tuesday.
The length and terms of the deal were not disclosed but the sponsorship fees for the club to bring in former Cuba international Nancy Carrillo and Bulgaria international Eva Yaneva were altogether around RMB10 million, according to source.
Quanjian Group also eyes on the takeover of the club when Tianjin Women’s Volleyball team’s partnership with China Bohai Bank expires in a fairly short time.
“Of course we have the desire (to buy into the team) and we’ll offer more supports as long as the team need”, said Shu Yuhui, the President of Quanjian Group.
“The new sponsor and overseas players will significantly boost our performance. We have the dream to win the league indeed, and we will spare no efforts to win it despite the intense competition with strong teams”, said head coach of the club.
Quanjian Group is a Tianjin-based nutrition company which has spent heavily in sports industry over the last few months with the efforts of acquiring a China League club and a CWSL team.
