2015 China Open came to an end on Sunday. It is the first time for China Open to have all the 12 sponsors, 1 presenting sponsor, 3 diamond sponsors and 8 platinum sponsors. The event has a revenue of 187 million RMB from sponsorship.
China Open Director of Brand Management, Ho Huali said, as the sports industry develop, tennis market is more and more promising. China Open now is more recognized by the capital.
According to the regulation, the sponsor fee for presenting, diamond and platinum is 30 million, 15 million and 8 million. Besides, China Open signed 11 exclusive partner and 19 official supplier, they pay 3 million and 0.8 million RMB respectively. The total revenue increased 5% compared to last year.
Not only the sponsorship, China Open also has 160 million revenue for tickets, which is the new record. The copyright fee becomes main income for the event.
“We want a more stable sponsor team. It is not ‘the more, the better’, we would choose the sponsors based on the position of China Open. ” Ho explained.
Now Beijing Benz had been the presenting sponsor of China Open for 9 years, the new contract would guarantee them the position till 2017.
