Interview with Thomas Lund: to follow new trends and bring younger generations to the sport

At the outset of the 2015-16 season, the LFP is launching Ligue 1's official account on the international platform provided by the WeChat app.
Standings, results, videos, articles, competitions: the French top-tier football competition account will offer - in English - a wide range of information and services for fans.
The launch of the Ligue 1 account comes just a few months after the launches of Ligue 1 accounts in Chinese on the Chinese version of WeChat as well as social network Weibo.
Ligue 1, the top football division in France has a relative weak influence in China when compared with other “Big Five” European football leagues in terms of fanbase, media exposure and commercial development.
Developed by Tencent and released in 2011, WeChat is the world’s fastest-growing social network app with over 600 million monthly active users worldwide as of the end of August 2015.
