Chinese LED manufacturer, Ledman, a company based in Shenzhen, recently expressed that the company had increased its role in the sports industry through three methods – sports sponsorship, online apps, and sports investment.
In this summer, they worked with International Champions Cup, providing all the LED lighting equipment used in the event. The CEO of Ledman invested in a football app named the 12th Man. The app was launched some days ago. The app is designed to help crowd fund a Shenzhen football team.
Ledman also invested in Infront Sports & Media Group which was bought by Wanda Group.
On Friday, several company’s shares surged immensely on the Chinese stock market. These companies were all somehow involved in sports. Ledman was among the companies.
Ledman Optoelectronic is just one of many Chinese companies from other sectors apart from sports that have begun to invest in the Chinese sports industry in 2015, such as sportswear company K-Bird, film and entertainment company Hualu Baina, and real estate group Wanda.
