Li Na will return to her home town of Wuhan to attend the official opening for the Wuhan Open’s brand new stadium at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center on September 27.
The state-of-the-art stadium will be the main venue for the 2015 Wuhan Open, which will take place during September 27 to October 3. And it will also host other sports events such as basketball, badminton, volleyball and table tennis, as well as music concerts and other cultural events in the future.
As part of the deal, Li Na will not only launch the new stadium, but also show WTA players around the city and attend other promotion activities organized by the Wuhan Open.
Fans from across China and around the world can now book tickets for the event.
The Wuhan Open is one of three Women's Tennis Association events in China that was new to the calendar in 2014, bringing the total number of women's professional tournaments in the country to six. It is also one of two Premier-level stops in China.
