China wins right to host 2019 Basketball World Cup

After a final pitch before the Fiba Central Board on Friday in Tokyo, Japan, the world’s basketball governing body granted China the privilege to host the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup. China edged Philippines, which banked on the Filipinos’ passion for the sports and reach on social media in its bid for the hosting, in a decision broadcast over the world via streaming on Fiba’s YouTube account.

China's CCTV 5 set to screen Premier League

CCTV 5, the sports channel provided by China’s CCTV, announced earlier this week on Sina Weibo that the channel would be going to screen 2015/2016 English Premier League (EPL). The first match presented yesterday was the clash between Everton FC and Watford FC.

PPTV Sports sealed 5-year exclusive La Liga deal

Alibaba and Sina announced wide ranging deal with Kobe Inc.

Alibaba Group Holding Limited, China’s leading e-commerce giants, yesterday announced an agreement with Kobe Inc., a newly formed company by the renowned NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. Letv Sports acquired 3-year exclusive digital rights of Serie A

Letv Sports revealed on July 30 that they had acquired the exclusive digital rights of Serie A for the next three seasons, starting from the coming 2015/2016 season. Under the new deal, Letv Sports will live stream all 380 games of Serie A in each season.

Wanda enters Bundesliga signing mega-deal with Mainz 05
