Last weekend, Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant made his return to Guangzhou, China for his first visit in three years. It’s part of Nike’s summer basketball tours.
As part of the Nike RISE initiative, Kobe met hundreds of Chinese fans outside the Nike store in Guangzhou and put them through training to, in Nike’s words, “inspire and introduce basketball innovation to the next generation of players.”
“The ability to RISE is inside everyone,” said Bryant via Nike press release. “When you are doing something you love, you make the sacrifices and put in the hard work that enables you to RISE, to overcome, and to achieve.”
Besides, Kobe Bryant will visit Taiwan on Aug 5 to continue the summer basketball camp following his trip to Guangzhou and Shanghai.
Bryant will be visiting Taiwan for the fourth time, following previous trips here in 2006, 2007, and 2009. It will likely be his last trip to Taiwan as an active player because he is expected to retire after the 2015-16 season.
