Club America held a press conference in Mexico City to introduce their new jersey for the upcoming new season.
Mark Xue, General Director of Huawei Mexico, and Jose Romano, President of America Football Club attended the press conference with several players from the Club showcasing the new jersey and the new model of Huawei smartphone.
The three-year sponsorship deal was first agreed by Huawei with Mexican soccer champions Club America in February.
“It’s with real pride that Club America can generate confidence with big brands," said Club America chief executive Jose Romano. "At the moment it’s just a business alliance, but who knows what technology they can offer us to help our players' overall game."
The Chinese telecoms and smartphone brand has long been actively involved in global soccer activities including partnerships with the likes of Premier League Arsenal, French champions Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke.
Club America are currently third in the Liga MX table with six games played in the second half of the season, the Clausura.
