Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich FC, according to German media Bild, has earned around 10 million Euros from their 9-day China Tour presented by Audi.
Pep Guardiola’s team played three exhibition games against FC Valencia, Inter Milan and Guangzhou Evergrande in three Chinese cities where tens of thousands of supporters were drawn to attend those matches.
China has become an important market for Bayern since they were informed that they have around 90 million followers in China. Jörg Wacker, Executive Board Member of Internationalization and Strategy of FC Bayern Munich said: “The Audi Summer Tour in China is another further step in our international orientation.”
Appearance fees, valued at €10m, for games and commercial campaigns during the Audi Tour 2015 marked the potential of the German side in opening the Chinese market.
But the abundant issue around fake Bayern jerseys in Chinese market is really troublesome for the club.
