Chinese Super League (CSL) side Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC unveiled 5 youth training bases in Shanghai yesterday while launching its first football summer camp for juniors national wide.
The ten-day Shanghai-based summer camp has attracted as many as 238 youngsters, aged from 11-12, from 12 Chinese cities.
And former Shenhua player Fan Zhiyi, who is a current director of Shenhuas’s youth training sector, and Tim Cahill appeared at the scene to give boosts to the campaign.
In addition, he club has also launched 5 youth training bases with partnerships with five local high schools and football clubs.
In an effort to significantly promote the club’s youth training Shanghai Greenland Shenhua focuses on both reserve teams and campus football.
Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC currently ranks 5th in the CSL and has made several impressive buys in the transfer market, such as landing Tim Cahill and Demba Ba.
