Ahead of Bayern Munich's China tour in the upcoming days, German football legend Franz Beckenbauer visited a Beijing-based football training camp for elite juniors yesterday alongside Marcus Höfl, a co-founder of Camp Beckenbauer which is also named as The Future of Sports.
Despite the promotional visit which boosted the confidences of those youth players, Beckenbauer aimed at partnerships with practitioners in China’s sports industry. In order to get a more particular knowledge of the situation of sports industry in China, Beckenbauer also had meetings with relevant insiders and businessmen last night.
More specifically, he planned to introduce the Camp Beckenbauer into China where the sports industry is potentially on the verge to roar. As revealed, the first ever Asian Camp Beckenbauer Summit will take place in Shanghai next April.
“Sports industry in China has grown significantly in the past few years and either major European football leagues or NBA have been racing in China’s marketplace. So I think the prospect of China’s sports industry is rather promising”, commented Beckenbauer.
