International Skiing Festival in Chongli

International alpine skiing tournament started on morning of Dec 6th, in Chongli county, Zhangjiakou city in north China's Hebei province.

Some 180 skiers from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the Netherlands are taking part in the tournament, which lasts 4 days.

Chongli had hosted the Tournament and Far East Cup for 8 consecutive years.

Meantime,the Chongli International Skiing Festival would be held and last till April 5th,2015.Except for the professional contest,theme parties ,such as the matches for children, Christmas Gala, and Romantic New Year, are going to be thrown during the Festival.

Chongli county is a ski resort some 200km northwest of Beijing. Beijing has launched a joint bid with Zhangjiakou to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
