Vice Premier met with Chinese Women’s Football Team

‍‍Liu Yandong, the vice premier of the State Council and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, met with Chinese Women’s Football Team on June 30, and expressed her good wishes as well as expectations for the players, coaches, and staffs. 

Liu Yandong congratulated Chinese Women’s Football Team for their good performance on the stage of the World Cup. This year, the Chinese Women’s Football team qualified for the quarter final after eight years of failing to qualify for the World Cup. 

Liu hopes that Chinese Women’s Football Team will keep improving and learning from leading teams around the globe, and return to be one of the top teams in the world as soon as they can. 

She urged that the relevant departments should support the team to help raise their performance, train young players, and create better life quality for the players. 

Chinese Women’s Football Team was once the pride of Chinese football and ranked among the top women’s football teams in the world. At the 2015 Women’s Football World Cup, the team made good performance and boosted the confidence of football development in China.
