Wenjiang to host China Equestrian Festival in November

The Fifth China Equestrian Festival will run from Nov 6 to Nov 9 in Wenjiang Equestrianism Sports Center, according to Wenjiang’s sports bureau. The festival is the one and only world-class equestrian event in western China.

The Equestrian Festival this year will combine competitions and derivative cultural activities. The competitions will include the Longines Equestrian China Tour (Chengdu division), 2014 Chinese Speed Racing Club League, Sichuan Equestrian Barrel Race, and Chengdu Youth Equestrian Skills Competition. More than 100 racehorses will take part in the competitions.

At the same time, the festival will host a horse-themed photo exhibition, a charity ride for autistic children, and the introduction of equestrianism in schools.
