Chinese water brand Evergrande Spring has signed an agreement with School Department of Communist Youth League of China, to promote campus football in China. They will launch an Evergrande Cup of futsal league for the country’s university students.
The futsal league is not the only content. There will also be a competition of cheerleader dancing and a competition of creative ideas of football culture. The whole event will last for three months, and will include nearly 1,000 futsal games.
The league will compete at four levels, i.e. within each university, within certain districts, training camps, and at the national level. Cheerleader dancing competition aims to have 800 teams participating around the country, and will use online voting to decide winners.
It is reported that Evergrande Spring provided 5 million yuan as prizes and organizing fees for the event.
Evergrande Spring belongs to Evergrade Group, which purchased Guangzhou Evergrande FC in 2010 with 100 million yuan. Evergrande Group also built a football school in Qingyuan of Guangdong, cooperating with Real Madrid FC.
