Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

Mercedes-Benz announced the strategic partnership with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in China on April 14th, the day before the ceremony of Laureus World Sports Awards.
The core of the partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Laureus is to promote sports among children in poverty-stricken area of China.
More specifically, Mercedes-Benz along with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation will help train PE teachers from 129 Hope Elementary Schools in China, aiming to improve the quality of PE classes for nearly 40,000 pupils. In addition, both parties plan to cover 1,000 PE teachers and 150,000 pupils from 400 schools by the end of 2016.
Hubertus Troska, the head of Daimler Greater China, noted that “it shows that we are a responsible enterprise and we are pleased to contribute to the welfare programs on sports by Laureus in China”.
It is also reported that Mercedes-Benz will release 16 special limited edition of GLA 260 4MATIC, and the money from auctions will be used for the welfare programs on sports in China.
