Football Promotion Association of Guangdong and Guangdong & Brazil Entrepreneur Association established a comprehensive strategic partnership for the development of grassroots football between China and Brazil.
Deputy chairman of Chinese Football Association, Deputy Consul General of Brazil in Guangzhou and other related representatives attended the press conference held on 14 April.
Rong Zhixing, the deputy chairman of Chinese Football Association, said that the Chinese Soccer Reform Plan has pointed a general direction for the growth, and that this partnership can be seen as an exploration of Guangdong for the nation’s football reform.
The first program is said to be going to introduce some Brazil players to play in teams of Guangdong Football League, according to Song Yuanxiong, the president of Guangdong & Brazil entrepreneur Association.
Song revealed that, some Brazil entrepreneurs in Guangzhou had made agreements with famous clubs such as Corinthians Paulista, Sao Paulo, and Santos who had expressed willingness to send some players to China.
In the long term, Song hoped to promote more collaboration between Chinese Football Association and Brazil Football Association in areas such as youth training, coach training, visits between national teams and clubs, and football cultural communication.
