General Office of the State Council of China publish Outlines on Sports Power Construction

To clarify the goals of the Sports Power Construction initiative, as well as how to become a sports power, the General Office of the State Council of China recently drafted and published “Outlines on Sports Power Construction”.

The ultimate goals of the Sports Power Construction initiative are to see China as a powerful country in terms of sports, and that the physical condition and health levels of the Chinese people, the performance of Chinese athletes and the influence of the Chinese sports industry are among the best countries in the world. The Outlines plan to have the sports industry become a pillar of the national economy by 2035.

FUSC reach long-term strategic cooperation with Migu

On September 3, the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and Migu, the digital content services subsidiary of China’s telecommunications giant China Mobile, held a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony, announcing that they will establish a long-term strategic cooperation in areas such as university sports events and sports education. The two parties will leverage their own advantages and integrate their respective resources to build a platform for university sports cooperation and development, helping university sports to grow in a healthy way.

NFL and TikTok form multi-year partnership

On September 3, the National Football League (NFL) and TikTok announced a new multi-year partnership. TikTok is a very popular short-form video platform that is available in over 150 markets and in 75 languages as of 2018. The Chinese version of the app, Douyin, is hugely popular in China.

Yutang Sports and Host City 2019 join hands

The Chinese sports marketing online media Yutang Sports and Host City, the largest meeting of cities and sports, business and cultural events, have signed a media partnership for the 2019 Host City event to be held in Glasgow, Scotland on Nov. 26-27.
