With the return of the 2019 World Cyber Games (WCG) after five years to Xi’an, Tencent eGame has won the exclusive broadcasting rights to the WCG 2019 Xi’an in China. There will be three phases in the WCG this year, including national qualifiers, regional qualifiers and the July 18-21 finals with Tencent eGame providing live broadcasting of the whole event.
WCG has been running for 13 years. It has won the reputation of “eSports Olympics” for bringing together the largest number of gamers, viewers, participating countries and games played and has become the first eSports platform for many gamers, and also the best stage for eSports players to make their dreams come true.
With this return, WCG is seeking a breakthrough on live broadcasting and will start in-depth interaction between streamers and games for the first time and has adopted the form of streamer observation during this initial audition stage.
