On April 9, a delegation group from eight Bundesliga clubs, Bundesliga International, Sportcast and DFL Digital Sports visited the PP Sports headquarters in Nanjing, China.
This DFL delegation to PP Sports is the biggest in recent years with the two parties to conduct meetings during this visit to discuss more in-depth collaborations after almost one year since their partnership was signed in July 2018 when PP Sports became the exclusive full-range media rights partner of the Bundesliga in China for five years.
During the visit on April 9, the delegation visited the PP Sports headquarters, PP Sports Nanjing studio center and Suning FC’s training base. Representatives spoke highly of the hardware, software and technologies at the studio and the Suning FC training base, commenting that many of the facilities are leaders at a world-level.
On April 10, PP Sports have organized a PP Sports & Bundesliga Strategic Cooperation Summit Forum which are attended by the CEO of Bundesliga International Robert Klein, the Bundesliga International APAC Head Kevin Sim, representatives from CFA, CSL and Bundesliga clubs, and management team from Suning and PP Sports. The conference discusses football exchanges between Germany and China and will review the collaboration between the Bundesliga and PP Sports over the past year.
In meetings over the following days, Bundesliga representatives and PP Sports will discuss collaborations in areas such as youth training, eSports, sports merchandise, international trading, sports marketing and sports technologies. Both sides hope to release more value of the Bundesliga in China. The meetings signify that the parties are ready to deepen the partnership moving forward.
