The Organizing Committee for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games have signed up two new Official Beer sponsors, Tsingtao Beer and Yanjing Beer. The two brands have jointly become the Official Beer Sponsors of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and will enjoy category exclusivity against all other beer brands.
It is the second time that Beijing 2022 have appointed joint sponsors, with the BOC Previously appointing CNPC and Sinopec as the Official Oil and Gas Partners. Their motive is to involve more companies and at the same time create better sponsorship fees and services for the local organizing committee and the Games.
Under this joint sponsorship model, there are no differences to the marketing rights of the two brands.
The press conference was held on December 17 at the office area of the Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee. Executive Vice President of Beijing 2022, Vice Mayor of Beijing ZHANG Jiandong, Tsingtao Beer President HUANG Kexing, Yanjing Beer President ZHAO Xiaodong and other leaders attended the ceremony.
The lockup logo of Tsingtao Beer and Beijing 2022 and of Yanjing Beer and Beijing 2022 were publicly unveiled.
The two brands were also sponsors of Beijing 2008 and are the first second-tier sponsors Beijing 2022 have signed since the search for the second-tier sponsors commenced this year. The first tier sponsorship, the Official Partners, has been completed with the signing of eight Official Partners from China.
Beijing 2022 will soon announce two other official sponsors.
