Zinedine Zidane visits China

Zinedine Zidane has begun a 7-day promotional tour of China with the trip starting from November 27 and taking in 5 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. 

During the trip, Zinedine Zidane featured on the football TV program “Tianxia Zuqiu” (Total Soccer) on CCTV 5 and was interviewed on the Youku Sports program “Huijian Chaoji Wan” making him the first ever guest on the show. 

As a global ambassador for Adidas, he is also going to attend the first game of the 2018/2019 Adidas China University Football Association league today (November 30) at the Yuexiushan Sports Stadium in Guangzhou. He will help to kick off the competition and attend other related activities. 

In the mean time, he has also attended a table tennis event with Chinese actress Angelababy and singer Eason Chan. 

He has displayed his amiable side and shown an interest in local grassroots culture. It was reported that on his way to another event, he stopped to look at some older Chinese women playing Mahjong, which would be considered as a surprise to many Chinese people but would certainly be good for his image in the public’s mind.
