2018 Women’s World 9-Ball Championship partners with Beijing construction company

The 2018 WPA Women’s World 9-Ball Championship will be held from December 3-9 in Sanya, Hainan Province, China. The event has partnered with event sponsors Beijing Urban Construction Sixth Group Co., Ltd. 

Beijing Urban Construction Sixth Group belongs to the State-owned Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. which has built many of the state-controlled construction projects, including sports venues. According to the Chinese version of its profile on its official website, Beijing Urban Construction Sixth Group was registered with a capital of CNY300m and currently has a workforce of over 2000 employees. They have previously constructed the Olympic Village B Region, Tsinghua University Library and many other projects in Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guizhou, Sichuan, Tibet and other cities. 

The Vice President of Beijing Urban Construction Sixth Group, Wang Junjie, thinks that the sponsorship of this world class 9-ball event is a step towards helping to drive the development of 9-ball and the sports industry in China, allowing the company to make its contribution in driving the popularity of billiard sports in China.
