STAR establishes partnership with European billiards governing body

Beijing Xingwei Sports Goods, also known as STAR, a renowned billiards-related equipment provider based in China, yesterday announced a 3-year partnership deal with European Billiards and Snooker Association in a joint press conference held in Shanghai where the 2015 Shanghai Masters is ongoing.

The deal will see the sides strategically collaborate in branding and marketing together with events. But the terms of the deal was not disclosed.

The governing body of billiards and snooker in Europe now joins World Billiards and Professional Snooker Association and World Snooker Association to name Star as an official event table provider.

Gan Liantong, the board chairman of Beijing Xingwei Sports Goods Co., Ltd, commented that: “we appreciate the recognition by European Billiards and Snooker Association and we promise to provide the best tables to ensure successful events”.

And they would be willing to work together with European Billiards and Snooker Association to develop the sport in Europe, Gan added.
