SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm

On October 15 both Youku and MIGU made official announcements regarding their partnership with the Chinese Basketball Association. The two companies have become two new digital online media partners of the Chinese Basketball Association league with the rights to broadcast games.
Youku have become the Official Broadcaster and New Media Partner of the CBA for two years. It will broadcast all CBA games via all its channels in different content formats, including live streaming, on-demand streaming and highlights streaming. Youku will also produce an interactive entertainment show which will cover an entire CBA game.
MIGU has also become the Official New Media Partner of CBA for the next two seasons. They have organized a press conference in Beijing this afternoon. For the new season, they will broadcast league games with 4k technology.
For the new basketball season, there will be three new CBA media partners and digital broadcasters: Tencent, Youku and MIGU.
