Chinese sportswear brand, Peak, has recently signed a partnership with the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, becoming a strategic partner of the governing body. The signing ceremony was held at the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in Kiev on July 13 with the President of Peak, Xu Jingnan, also present.
Peak has sponsored the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine since the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. During the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Games, Ukrainian athletes also wore kits provided by Peak.
As an important winter sport discipline, biathlon is one of the most successful and proudest winter sports in Ukraine. At the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, the Ukraine biathlon team won gold, making it the second gold medal Ukraine has won at the Winter Olympic Games in 20 years.
This partnership is described by Peak as strengthening the relationship with the Ukraine Olympic Committee and demonstrates Peak’s attention to and investments in winter sports. Xu Jiangnan says that the development of the brand in the Ukrainian market is very important for Peak and they hope to see a bigger influence and awareness of Peak in the market.
The Chinese sportswear brand Peak has been trying to enter more international markets in recent years and this new partnership is clearly another effort to reach that goal.
