Osports named Shanghai SIPG exclusive image partner

Osports (Beijing) Culture Media Co., Ltd was officially named as the exclusive official image partner of the Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

Under their cooperation deal, Osports will have rights to use the title of “Shanghai SIPG FC Official Image Partner”, or similar exclusive titles related to image rights of the club.

The media company will be entitled to commercial campaigns, promotion and shooting rights as the Shanghai SIPG partner and official image agency. Osports plans to send in staff for taking photos, hold the copyrights of the proposed works and take related responsibility.

With the permission of Shanghai SIPG, Osports will also be able to develop and sell the photo derivatives under this deal, while the benefits will be distributed between the two sides as required by the contract.

For the duration of their contract, Shanghai SIPG will have the right to use Osports photos or works in commercial campaigns, internal files, official Weibo accounts, WeChat accounts and official websites for Shanghai SIPG FC and its parent company.

Shanghai SIPG cannot empower the aforementioned usage rights to any third party that is not included in the contract, which is expected to expire in December 2018.

Recently, Osports, the official image partner of several CSL clubs, was ordered to pay CNY300m to Imagine China, the exclusive image partner of the CSL.
