On April 6, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) released an official announcement recruiting title sponsors, marketing partners and production partners for the Chinese Women’s Super League (CWSL) and the China Women’s League One (CWL1).
The CFA currently provides three packages for competitive bidding:
Package One enables bidders (excluding sporting balls brands and sports apparel makers) to become a CWSL Title Sponsor or a CWL1 Title Sponsor. A Title Sponsor will be entitled to the naming rights of one of the two leagues and the right to resell the name rights under the approval of the CFA.
The potential sponsors will also be given logo exposure opportunities on 6 advertising boards or 13.5 minutes of LED signage during all CWSL or CWL1 games. Other sponsorship rights include logo display on background plates, tickets and cards as well as rights of ad shooting.
Package Two enables bidders to become the “Marketing and Promoting Partner of the CWSL”, responsible for event planning, organization and promotion. The marketing partner should also look for Official Sponsors for the CWSL (excluding sporting balls brands and sports apparel makers). The potential sponsors will be given logo exposure opportunities on 18 advertising boards or 40.5 minutes of LED signage during football games.
Package Three enables bidders to become a “Production Partner of the CWSL”, whose main responsibility will be signal production for all CWSL matches and one match for each CWL1 round. The Partner should also look for internet and new media broadcasters throughout China as well as launch viewership reports for the CFA during the middle and the end of the CWSL.
According to the announcement, the proposed cooperation deals will run through the next 3 years, and the 2018 CWSL and CWL1 will start from April to November.
