Wenzhou Chaoshen Hudong Network Technology Co., Ltd. has recently signed a deal with the Administrative Committee of Wenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The two sides aim to set up an international eSports center in the zone as well as establish the Chaoshen Hudong eSports headquarters economy.
Chaoshen Hudong, which consists of the Pkviell eSports College, Pangu Culture Media and Chaoshen Hudong eSports Complexes, has covered the eSports industry chain ranging from talent training to capital investment.
The new 2-billion-yuan project, expected to be completed in 5 years, will become an eSports industrial belt of an eSports headquarter building, an eSports theme park, eSports venues and eSports theme hotels.
In 2011, eSports was named as one of 78 competitive sports and has been on its road to becoming included in the Olympic Games. As a new industry, eSports involves gaming IP, team operation, player agency, eSports live broadcasts and event content.
As Dai Wenxue, the CEO of Chaoshen Hudong, said, over the next 5 to 10 years, eSports will become one of the most popular industries in China. Therefore, Wenzhou hopes that it can create an eSports industry chain and event IP combining the eSports, culture, tourism and education industries.
