China Ladies Professional Golf Athletics (CLPGA) announced on March 8 that the league had partnered with the official store of Bang & Olufsen (B&O) on Alibaba’s online retailing website Tmall.com.
As the two sides announced at the press conference, the partnership will last for 5 years starting from 2018. During these 5 years, the official Tmall store of B&O will act as a strategic partner of the China LPGA Tour.
The China LPGA Tour was inaugurated in 2008 by the China Golf Association. As the operators of the Tour, the CPLGA Company was set up in 2009.
As of now, the China LPGA Tour has gathered together over 200 players from China mainland, Taiwan, Thailand, the US, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries and regions. In 2013, the China LPGA Tour was approved by the World Women’s Golf Ranking, which is seen as a milestone for Chinese golfers to embrace the international professional golf system.
B&O is a Danish consumer electronics company that designs and manufactures audio products, television sets, and telephones. In 2014, the brand’s approved retailer in China, Sparkle Roll Group, opened an official retailing store for B&O on Tmall.com.
