In March, the American multinational energy corporation, Chevron Corporation, announced Chinese track and field athlete, Su Bingtian, as the ambassador of Chevron Havoline for Greater China.
The 28-year-old has just broken the Asian record by clocking a personal best of 6.42 seconds, as he took the silver behind American Christian Coleman in the men’s 60 meters final at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, England on March 3. In 2015, Su became the first Asia-born athlete to run under 10 seconds in the 100m sprint in the year 2015.
Su’s concentration, persistence and courage is a perfect fit with the brand commitment of Chevron Havoline. For 2018, the company will be working with its new ambassador on online and offline marketing activations to provide customers with a premium experience.
“We are really pleased to cooperate with Su Bingtian, because of his confidence, concentration and courage to make breakthroughs and a continuous outstanding performance in major events is a perfect fit for Chevron Havoline, a brand with a 100-year history,” said Guo Baomin, General Manager of Chevron, Greater China. “China is one of the key markets for Chevron Havoline, and we hope we can use this cooperation to engage more Chinese customers.”
