Beijing-based sports company Malon has signed a deal to acquire the exclusive marketing rights to events under the newly established Chinese Figure Skating Association (CFSA) from 2018 to 2022.
Founded in January 2018, the CFSA is currently chaired by former world champion Shen Xue. This has become the first official deal for the association since its establishment.
Malon has supported the Cup of China ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating for 15 consecutive years, which has made it one of the most popular Chinese winter sports tournament in event level, participants, attendance and sponsorship recognition.
The new deal means Malon will be responsible for the marketing business of the event over the next five years. The terms of the deal also include a series of domestic events, like the National Figure Skating Grand Prix, the Chinese Figure Skating Championships, the National Figure Skating Youth Series and the National Figure Skating Club League tournament.
