December 17: The English sportswear and football equipment supplier, Umbro, has officially announced a deal with Deng Hanwen, Chinese football player who currently plays for Beijing Renhe in the Chinese Super League.
This deal will see Deng become the first Chinese football player signed by Umbro during the brand’s 93-year history. At the signing ceremony, the brand also displayed its newest product, the New Umbro Velocita 3 boots.
Under this deal, Umbro will provide professional kits for the Chinese player, with the goal of engaging consumers with more advanced products and helping young people achieve their football dreams.
As Zhang Tengfei, CEO of Umbro Greater China, remarked, Deng’s persistent pursuit and perseverance in football is the best fit for representing their brand concept.
Deng Hanwen, born in 1995, started his football career when he joined Guizhou Renhe's youth academy in 2009. Deng also made his debut in the Chinese national team during the 2017 China Cup, the international friendly against the Philippines and the EAFF East Asian Cup.
