Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

September 1: The world's largest sporting goods retailer Decathlon has unveiled their new Greater China Region headquarters building, which is based in Shanghai, China.
Reportedly, the new building called "CHINA LAB" is an 11-storey complex featuring facilities for both staff and customers. Regarded as a "dream project" by Decathlon, the complex includes the first ever Decathlon 6,000 square meter experience center in China, as well as a 4,000 square meter fitness center, which makes it the first ever Decathlon fitness center in Asia. Further to these, a 10,000 square meter outdoor playground and a cultural communication center have also been featured into the complex. In addition, there will also be enough office space for around 1,000 Decathlon staff.
Media reports have said that China supplies 40% of Decathlon's global merchandise market, making it the largest market for Decathlon. As of August 2017 the Group have opened 230 stores in ninety Chinese cities with further plans to open stores in 250 Chinese cities in the future.
