Football commentator Zhan Jun joins PPTV

August 17: After the first weekend of the English Premier League (EPL), PPTV, one of the EPL's broadcasters in China, have announced that they have recruited China's most famous football commentator Zhan Jun to their commentary team. 

Having previously commentated on EPL games for ESPN, Sina Sports, LeSports and PPTV for many years, Zhan Jun is regarded by fans in China as the master of football commentary. Zhan's knowledge of the league, its clubs and players, as well as his humorous commentaries have built a huge fan base for him. Notably, many EPL fans are inclined to only listen or watch the league's broadcaster  when Zhan commentates. 

Up to now, PPTV have already captured the media rights to many of the top European football leagues, including the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. To monetize these rights, PPTV have launched a pay-per-view service in an attempt to attract more fans with the recruitment of  Zhan going a long way to achieving this goal. For Zhan, joining PPTV will allow him to have more opportunities and access to the top leagues, matches, clubs and players.
