August 6: China Life Insurance Company held the 10th anniversary ceremony to celebrate its partnership with Chinese basketball legend Yao Ming.
Yao, current president of the Chinese Basketball Association, became the ambassador of the Chinese insurance company in 2007, and has helped the brand to be listed by the World Brand Lab as 4th place in China's Top 500 Most Valuable Brands. China Life also climbed from #192 to #51 on the 2017 Fortune 500 list.
2017/18 National Youth Basketball Open (NYBO) was also announced to kick off in September and end in August 2018. As the title sponsor, China Life would support the professional youth event to be held in 12 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Yao expressed his gratefulness for China Life’s long-time support for the Chinese sports industry and its outstanding contributions to charity. The Hall of Famer said he would like to work closely with the insurance company in the future to promote the development of charity causes in China.
