Bright Dairy buy Shanghai Women’s Volleyball Club for millions of yuan

On June 28, Bright Dairy subordinated to Bright Food Group Co., Ltd., officially announced that they will be purchasing the Shanghai Women’s Volleyball Club for tens of millions of yuan and establish the Shanghai Bright UBEST Women’s Volleyball Club. As a result, Bright Dairy will become the first dairy enterprise to invest in a sports club in China.

The Shanghai Women’s Volleyball team was founded in the early 1950s and is one of the best volleyball teams in China. It has trained and provided many good players for the national team. This team has won five consecutive championships in the Chinese Women’s Volleyball League from 1996 to 2001.

This time Bright Dairy takes over the Shanghai Women’s Volleyball Club of Donghao Lansheng, it will then work together with this volleyball team to move forward in the next three years. In 2016 Bright Dairy and Food became the official partner of the Chinese Women’s national volleyball team. Then on January 24, 2017, Bright Dairy and Food confirmed the strategic partnership with the official operator of the Chinese Volleyball League. What’s more, Bright Dairy and Food has already sponsored multiple sports events including the Shanghai International Half Marathon.
