Mauricio Macri, President of Argentina who came to China for the Belt & Road Forum for International Cooperation, met with Shanghai Shenhua FC Chairman Wu Xiaohui and Argentine football star, Carlos Tévez, on May 18 in Shanghai.
At this meeting, President Macri was presented with the Shenhua FC shirt with his name and number 32 on the back, and was given a detailed presentation about the history of Shenhua FC and its former Argentine coaches and players who previously played for the club. Wu also expressed his enthusiasm in partnering with Argentine companies and clubs in promoting the growth of football in China.
Since being injured in April, Carlos Tévez has not played for over 5 weeks and President Macri expressed his concern about Tévez’s injury and hoped he would be back playing very soon.
