On July 22nd this summer, English Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal, will come to Beijing to participate in the “2017 London Derby.” Both teams have promised to send their top players. The London Derby brings yet another international football tournament to Beijing’s Bird's Nest Stadium following the “Milan Derby” and the “Superclasico de las Americas.”
After the announcement, Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte, expressed his delight at the prospect of going to China for an exciting game this summer. He believes Chinese fans will have great enthusiasm for this game. Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, said they could see a large number of the team’s global fan base during this pre-season tour, which takes them halfway round the world. Everyone at the club is looking forward to meeting their fans in Australia and China.
The 2017 London Derby in Beijing is being sponsored and operated by Inter Sports.
