Chinese Women's Volleyball Team nominated for AIPS Best Team

The AIPS (International Sports Press Association) has just announced the nomination list for the best of 2016 on its website, in which the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, the Rio Olympics champions, were nominated for Best Team.   

At the Rio Olympics Games, under the leadership of Jane Lang, the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team won the gold medal for the third time after 12 years since they last won a gold medal at the Olympic Game. 

There are 23 teams nominated for Best Team, including the Argentina Men’s Tennis Team (the Davis Cup champions), the USA Basketball Team, Real Madrid FC, the Portugal Men’s Football Team, and Leicester City Football Club (the English Premier League champions). 

AIPS was founded in 1924, with all the awards voted on by its members. The vote for the AIPS Best of 2016 closed on December 28 at Midnight CET.
