On December 19, Liu Wenbin, the Deputy Director of the Chinese Volleyball Administrator Center of the General Administration of Sport, announced at a meeting that the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals would be held in Nanjing.
This event, which will be organized by Jiangsu Wenyuan Sport Technology Company, will be held from August 2-6 2017 with 6 teams due to participate. This is the second time that China has organized such an event after it was held in Beilun, Ningbo in 2012.
Mr. Chen Gang, the Director of the Sport Bureau of Jiangsu Province, says that they will take the holding of the 2017 World Grand Prix Final as an opportunity to provide better and more convenient sports services and products to the public. They will also continue to establish good brands of events and raise profiles of competitions, set up more sport events with a distinctive Jiangsu style and promote them nationwide and worldwide.
