China Merchant Bank(CMB) is to work with the NBA in launching a co-brand credit card in an effort to boost its profile in the sporting world.
As one of the most popular sporting organisations in the world, the NBA manages to attract hundreds of millions of fans with its games. This collaboration marks the second time that the Bank has joined with the NBA.
Back in 2007, impressed by its brand appeal, the Bank issued the first dual-currency credit card with the NBA in Asia. And nine years later, they get together again with a new co-branded card series on offer, featuring 6 of the current NBA franchises. Each one of them is represented through unique designs that reflect team characteristics in contrast with previous cards which had only the NBA logo printed on them.
Each of the six teams will have an individually branded edition. The team colour and logo will be adapted for each team’s edition. The six teams are Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Hornets, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks.
