When New tournaments Meets New Tech, the Old Friend of Football Has New Stories

Beijing has been selected as the host city of the China World Summit Wing Vertical Run 2016, a part of the 2016 Vertical World Circuit (VWC).
On September 3, runners from around the world will start their competition at Beijing’s tallest building Shangri-La. The race will consist of 82 floors and 2,041 steps. The fastest runners are expected to reach the rooftop in less than ten minutes and break the record of 9’53.
Other stops for the event include New York, London, Dubai, Paris, Manila, Sydney, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Runners participating in the VWC will be assigned points based on their result. The competitor with the highest total score at the end of the year will be declared world champion.
It is reported that the elite runners from different countries will compete for total prize money of US$6,000.
