Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has announced a sponsorship deal with Argentinian Primera División football club Boca Juniors.
Under this 2-year deal, which takes effect from July 1, the phone brand will become the new official sponsor, displaying its logo on the shirt sleeves of first team and reserve team players.
The brand will also be shown on the billboards around Alberto J. Armando stadium - "La Bombonera", along with various pieces of communication and promotion.
In addition to this, Huawei is set to launch an exclusive, Boca-branded mobile phone to further its expansion into the South American market.
As Boca President Daniel Angelici said, “Boca is proud to seal an alliance with an international brand leader like Huawei. It is a pleasure to have Huawei accompany us in this new stage.”
“Certainly there is a lot work to do for us, to make sure the club remain a leader in innovation and development," Angelici added.
