The Beijing-based iRENA Group has struck a partnership deal with Pitch International, a world leading English sports company.
At a news conference in London, the two sides announced the setting up of a joint venture for investment in global events operation, media rights and advanced technology.
This means that many top world events will be available in Asia, especially in China. At the same time, Pitch International is pleased to help iRENA in its sports globalization strategy. The pair have decided to reveal details of their first project - introducing the Brazilian national soccer team’s 2017/18 China Tour, which will take in the major Chinese cities.
Pitch is a partnership specialising in the representation of rights for bodies such as sporting federations, clubs, rights holders and agencies, selling their content worldwide across all media.
Jonathan Rogers, Managing Director of Pitch International, says that he is very interested in the great potential of the Chinese sports industry. He believes that this partnership will be helpful for Chinese companies with global expansion plans.
