Chinese businessman Jiang Lizhang has completed the purchase of La Liga club Granada from the Italian Gino Pozzo.
Link International Sports Limited, owned by Jiang, reached agreement with Pozzo for a figure of 37 million euros on May 21. The signing took place Tuesday (June 14) in Barcelona, and Jiang will travel to the Andalusian city of Granada on Wednesday to take charge of the club.
Jiang told the Granada website: "We acknowledge the work done by Gino Pozzo, in what has been a brilliant run, leading the club from Segunda B to the Primera Division. And Quique Pina [President], for his dedication and work to leave Granada at the highest possible level after all these years.”
"Our goal is to enhance all areas of the club, to continue making our own history in the league and progress as far as possible."
Paco Jemez of Rayo Vallecano is expected to replace Jose Gonzalez as the club's new manager next season.
